I really appreciate your help pointing out Kinoma FreePlay to people who can use it. My thinking is that it's better to point people to http://kinoma.com/freeplay/download/ instead of posting .cab files, and here's why:

• It's always up-to-date. Any .cab file posted in a forum will be out-of-date within a few weeks, and it's better for users if they don't need to go through two installations to get the latest, greatest version right off the bat.

• We can count it. Metrics are crucial to help us understand how we're doing. When we know how many people download Kinoma FreePlay and that (for example) they came from PPCGeeks, that makes it a no-brainer to spend time here.

• It's safe. Malware authors sometimes piggyback onto popular apps, and so we think it's safer that new users get Kinoma FreePlay directly from us.

If something about the download page is goofy, let us know -- we're always looking to improve our site. Today we added a manual download link, and soon we be providing more download options than just a .cab download to a PC.
