I did lose a wind-screen the first day that I had it though.. (wind screens are a must if you live in a windy city like san francisco)
I bought an ETYBLU right when it came out and the static seems to go away when I hold the phone a certain way (Not Ideal). Other than that I think it's a great headset. Callers say they don't know that I am using a headset. If your new one eliminates the static problem, please let us know with a follow up post.
