Ok...I just loaded up some newer movies onto my storage card. Had zero lag, smooth video, audio and video matches with no issues, resolution is beautiful as ever...here is what I used and what I did:

TCPMP v0.72 for playback
Any Video Converter @ the following settings: customized avi convert, resolution @ 320x240, audio: mp3

It plays back flawlessly.

I have tried to up the resolution to the full 640x480 but I get the lag and herky jerky playback.
