Another minor tweak. For the temps, I changed the GLOWEXPAND to 2, which creates a thicker background. Try it out (download in 1st post updated)...

For the MOST contrast, try changing it to three:

Code:
;TEXT
#HIGH#°
2,H-11,23,11,L
Tahoma,12,BOLD GLOW-255-215-215 GLOWBLUR-6 GLOWEXPAND-2,0-0-0

;TEXT
#LOW#°
32,H-11,23,11,R
Tahoma,12,BOLD GLOW-215-215-255 GLOWBLUR-6 GLOWEXPAND-2,0-0-0
