I included a screenshot of my Today screen which shows the battery icon in the bottom right corner since PerfectHybrid had asked for one. (I had to attached it inside a .zip folder because I am not yet allowed to post urls which is the method of posting images on this forum).

Here is the pic draghn attached. I tried this and had it working, but disabled it as I did not want to use up all that space for a single icon. I would like to figure out how to get it in the top bar with the signal and EVDO icons.

If you want the battery icon on the title bar at the top do this....
(Note this will replace the time on the titlebar with a battery meter)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell]
"ShowTitleBarClock"=dword:00000001
to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell]
"ShowTitleBarClock"=dword:00000000
Reboot.
If you want the battery, screen rotate, and CommManager icons down in your tray (like on the 6700) do this.....
Unzip this .zip, copy the .cab to your 6800, run the TrayIcons.cab, reboot.
Good luck!
