If I've learned anything in the military is to get it in writing. What you might wanna do is go back in with a nice little drafted letter saying that the Sprint store acknowledges that they are currently out of stock and have the store manager sign it. This will prove intention to return within 30 days and will put the blame on the store for not being able to fulfill their part of the bargain, thereby extending your return window. If they fail to then honor the contract, complain to corporate with a signed letter.
