interesting... I would think the pro would be more likely to heat up with the keyboard taking up space.
and tethering.... Thats another thing I can't help but wonder when I go into sprint... they sell the little broadband cards, and the data card is sold just like any other phone, on sale when you renew/open a new line... and its considered a seperate line.... yet I can just hook that laptop into my mobile phone and use the HTC as a modem for the same function..... is this for people who need to be on their PPC WHILE surfing the net wirelessly? or is it targetting that fact that most people don't realize you can pay a little more, and get the wirless internet that comes with a phone and WM 6.1 then use it the same way.....

the pro has a heatshield to dispense the heat, and the diamond doesn't. i had a lot of heat/charging related issues with the diamond. if i was on a phonecall, and the phone was half charged and charging, and i was on bluetooth, it would heat up to the point that it wouldnj't charge, then the battery would drain, and it would die mid call. then i'd call the person back, and it would die again, even while charging (without using bluetooth even). that's a huge problem for me, because i can't tell a client "hey, my phone is going to die, i'll call you back in a half hour".
its for companies who don't want to rely on breaking the law to give their employees internet access, as well as people who just don't know any better.
its like software... companies buy software because they don't want to be sued. people download software because they don't want to pay for it.

I guess my whole dive into the black berry idea was trying to simplify the phone just to what I mainly use it for... pics, text, phone, ocasional net...... but I like the HUGE variety of free apps that you can get with WM...... I just dislike that, because it is a PPC, WM has to load, and just like any other computer, it will crash and act up sometimes. Maybe I'm just under the assumption that these 'smart phones' / iphone / black berry are more reliable.... but I'd still hate finding something neat I want on my phone and not being able to get it, or worse... some 'store' making me pay for it. thanks again ou2mame

i'm not gonna lie.. blackberries are stable. very. i'm not wiling to pay the data fee though. and i want to customize my device. iphone's are fairly stable too, but don't do the simple things like copy/paste, mms, gps, etc. i need that ****. pretty much anything that has been developed properly is going to be more stable than a windows mobile device, simply because there are so many windows mobile devices, which has always been the excuse with the comparison of pc vs mac. due to the numerous hardware differences, windows has always been in the business of making one software version that works with everything, and that system will never be perfect. but i don't have many problems with my pro, and i really didn't have that many windows related glitches with the diamond either. i have to soft reset sometimes, and it runs better for the rest of the day. the problems i have with the pro i didn't have with the diamond. thankfully though, i don't have the problems i had with the diamond on the pro though.
