out of the box, i think that the sprint touch pro/diamond has every feature that the average user will want. its got texting, mms, email, gps, ms office tools, etc.. anything else that you may want, you can find for the most part. i haven't thought to myself "hmm, i really want to do this, but can't" yet. i've found my way around it.

as for the differences, like i said, there's numerous hardware and software differences. if you use the search engine, i'm sure you can find some threads about them. i'm too lazy to do that, but there are differences.

OH, and before i forget.. the heat issue with the diamonds, that the vzw radio rom seemed to help with... yeah, don't have that with the touch pro. i think thats because of the heatsheild though, but it could be because of the radio rom. my diamonds used to get so hot that it wouldn't charge. that's an issue if you're tethering cause then it doesn't charge and just dies. i haven't had that happen yet on the pro.
weird... I have mine trough sprint, and somehow they always end up with different issues...

as far as my reference to the blackberry.... its like, now that the new HTC ppc's come with everyone I want (like you mentioned... no need to add MMS, no need to add threaded sms, or unlock a GPS)... it makes me wonder if a blackberry would be easier for me to use.... I guess my questions is (just like the iphone, etc, you mentioned)...most of the blackberry software is going to be closed development, and is going to cost extra $$??

thats when I new I was keeping with PPC's, was when I learned everything the 6700 and 6800 could do that sprint didn't let you know about ... now that the previous 'hacks' are included.... I don't need email, etc.... and its cheaper... I dunno I should probably keep my touch pro before I regret it, or at least play around with the black berry before making any changes.

another side questions I've been wondering for a long while::::
Anyone ever figure out how to display/control HTC ppc's from a larger touchscreen for navigation/media/anything purposes..... it would make the cheapest, easily portable carputer.... but I just don't know of a way to send the display to an external touch screen and then send the commands back to the phone????

again, thanks for the info, its helping me learn my new phone just like I had to learn so much about the 6700, and almost read a book to get touch skin, GPS, and Rev a speeds on my 6800 lol
