Re: Keep Diamond or go to Pro?

there's so much software available for free, and blackberry is the complete opposite. blackberry's software platform is very similar to the iphone, and any other phone that has its own operating system (like the instinct too). you wouldn't be able to hack a blackberry like you could a windows mobile device, and you definitely can't find as much free software.

out of the box, i think that the sprint touch pro/diamond has every feature that the average user will want. its got texting, mms, email, gps, ms office tools, etc.. anything else that you may want, you can find for the most part. i haven't thought to myself "hmm, i really want to do this, but can't" yet. i've found my way around it.

as for the differences, like i said, there's numerous hardware and software differences. if you use the search engine, i'm sure you can find some threads about them. i'm too lazy to do that, but there are differences.

OH, and before i forget.. the heat issue with the diamonds, that the vzw radio rom seemed to help with... yeah, don't have that with the touch pro. i think thats because of the heatsheild though, but it could be because of the radio rom. my diamonds used to get so hot that it wouldn't charge. that's an issue if you're tethering cause then it doesn't charge and just dies. i haven't had that happen yet on the pro.
