Re: Keep Diamond or go to Pro?
i've had both phones, and the pro seems to be much faster. i think a lot had to do with the fact that i now have all my apps installed on the system memory, and not the internal/sd memory.
i notice slightly better reception, battery life seems a little better... screenwise, they're the same to me. i've had 3 diamonds and 2 pros, and the screens were all the same to me. there's a lot of things that can cause touchflo to crawl to a halt... i experienced that today. i reset the phone and it was fine. its software, it happens. for the most part though, i do have to say that the pro's i had were slightly faster than the diamonds.
and for the record, but cameras are major suckage. anyone who says anything different just doesn't use theirs, or wants to be happy with it. but the camera is slow as ****, blurs every pic you take in anything less than daylight, and overall produces really big pictures that are grainy, blury, washed out, and overall terrible. i haven't taken one picture with this phone worth printing. maybe its just because i'm a photo major, and use expensive equipment everyday, but this phone takes the WORST pictures. htc really needs to fix the camera app, because whether its the diamond or the pro, just move the phone around with the camera turned on, and see if you can see anything. you need to put the damn thing on a tripod to get a decent picture.
one difference that was an issue with diamond users was that the touch pro has a different radio rom version. the sprint and verizon versions both have different versions. i had the verizon radio rom on my diamonds, and the battery life was improved. my pro seems to have signficantly better battery life than the diamond as well. su2u also does't work on the pro very well, but worked fine on my diamond. no clue about that, something about the video drivers maybe? there's differences though, software and hardware...
