I did it. Took me about a hour. I followed the instructions step by step and it turned out very good. The 4th pic in which everyone is having a hard time is not that bad. I have a exacto knife with a very pointy tip. I used it to lift the 4th pin up and yes after a bout 3 to 4 minutes of moving it left and right.. it breaks off clean. I can imagine you can use a push pin like the op did or anything that is just point and very small. Another idea is the brand new dress shirt pins that you get. Just puck and wiggle left and right. After I got all the wires connected I did solder them for a very secure connection. i will post a pic so you all see.....
BTW......... I did not do the final step since I did not get any noise or hiss like the OP said he got. The last step was to ground to the shielding. Mines was fine without it......... oh yeah.. I took the pic wth my super Sprint Pro.
