here are a few ideas -

Get the cover wet (hot and cold) and rub it.... does it smudge off?

put it in the freezer for 1hour ( then try to smudge it)

put in the bathroom with the shower on and lots of steam (then try to smudge it)

if it holds up to that.......i will say it is good to go.
I can see your point on some but some of these test dont simulate real world environment test. In particular with the freezer test.

I can answer your first one however. When I first took the cover out of the dye, I ran cold water on it. Noticed some parts were smooth and some werent. So I tried rubbing hard on it to see if it will go away. That resulted in no dye getting on my fingers. I then ran hot water thinking maybe it was over dyed and hot water will get rid of some of the dye. Still no dye on my fingers.

For the shower test, I think running hot water on it will suffice. I don't see the difference in these tests.

Also as I stated in my previous post. Scratching your finger on it has no effect. Nor does it leave dye on your nail. I think you'll just have to try it and see for yourself.
