I had run the full ROM flash and let customizations run. I then installed QPST because I wanted to see where it thought the GPS was. It had it on COM7 now, instead of COM5. While in there I did the aGPS stuff that SHOULD not be needed if you keep your device GPS locked down. I then installed the Valhalla cab and soft reset. After the reset I installed Franson GPSGate to test its applicability for iGo8. I set the input for WM GPS and set the output to a virtual COM8/NMEA. I also accepted all ther NMEA data. I then waited for GPSGate to come alive and go green. After about 30 secs it did indeed go green. So the then loaded iGo8 and what do you know it knew exactly where I was, even though it showed no GPS output. I took it on a ride and it worked flawlessly.
So this success got me to thinking. Why would this work like this. So I tried to de-construct what I had previously done to determine the actual goodness. So I re-flashed the ROM before I went to bed. I woke up this morning and my flash was done. I let the customizations run again, I *22899, and then the phone reset. I then installed the Valhalla cab and reset one more time. I then installed GPSGate and configured it identically to the above config. I waited for it to go green......and.....it never went green! Hmmm I said to myself. Why would this be the case? What didnt I do in this that I did in the above config. And thats when it hit me that I did implement the aGPS config the first time. Could this be the answer??
Tonight I am going to do the following to test the theory:
1) Flash the ROM again and let customizations run.
2) Implement the aGPS fix from XDA via QPST.
3) Wait, watch, and learn. If iGo8 fires up then its exposing the config via QPST that does the trick.
4) If nothing happens I then will install Valhalla and again wait, watch, and learn.
5) If nothing happens again I will then install and configure GPSGate and 2W1L.
If anyone has already flashed this ROM and let customizations run I would be interested if you would like to try the above too. I would like to see what results we get. Like I said I will try this tonight, but it wont be until tomorrow that I will be able to post my results.

It was good to see your post this a.m. Steve. I am having a time getting it straight w/ the new Rom 6.1. I did have google maps going but now that has failed, and I tried GPSGate for Tom Tom with no luck. I will just mention that I did a 2nd flash when realizing I blew the first one but I dont think I did it right either???
Anyway I am willing to work with you on this and will reflash if need be. Will be watching progress and input here. Thanks again leslie
