let's not get ahead of ourselves here. we're not talking about $30K trucks, we're talking about $300 phones. and automobiles do have recalls.
http://www.nextautos.com/recall-defe...f-smart-fortwo if it comes from the factory flawed, of course they will do a recall. and if the company htc contracted to manufacture the phones used a flawed production technique or materials, then they should and will have to do a recall, phone dropped or not.
and yes, it's something as trivial as paints, such as the chrome paint on our phones if you really want to compare apples to oranges.
oh, side note, i did drop my phone right outside the bb store (i was so excited, i couldn't wait and opened the box and the phone fell out) and i kept it awhile, i read about this supposed email (it does sound fake, but i called the sprint store and i don't know if they were mocking me but she did say that they know about it and to bring it in but they didn't have anymore in stock to exchange it with) so i went back to bb and got a new phone (this time i waited until i got into the car to open the box).
so, i cannot verify that the sprint store will replace it on the spot, but i did get confirmation that they know about this "email" but again, she might have mocked me.
