I'm on Verizon with a regular flip phone (Samsung SCH-U550) and my friend who uses Sprint is offering to sell me his Sprint HTC Mogul. He just upgraded to a Touch Pro, which I wish I could own but the Mogul is not bad from what I can see. Will I be able to get this phone onto Verizon? Also, if I switch to that phone they won't try to force me into buying a data plan will they? I really want this phone because it's one of the few wifi-enabled phones on Verizon, and since I'm in college I have wifi basically everywhere. Thanks for the help.

Before paying for it, try getting verizon to switch your phone to the mogul. Chances are they won't as its a sprint ESN however you might get lucky.
