Re: A little tough Love about battery issues.

My phone's still on and I haven't charged it since 7:30pm yesterday (as noted by my previous posts). Yesterday, I left it idle to loosely compare it to another users idle state, but I've used it lightly today. So whether people believe in battery indicators or not, there are TouchPros that act just as the other HTC devices and don't have excessive/unnecessary/mind-boggling battery drain.
As for some of the other finicky complaints, I just don't see them in my phone. If I press hard enough, my battery cover slightly creeks, but that's because I'm trying hard to get it to creek. To some, that may be a huge complaint; but if it doesn't creek when I'm using it normally then I'm not going to complain at all. As for the keyboard, if I deliberately try to bully it, it'll slightly move. It moved much more on my mogul and I actually noticed it without bullying it, so to me this is an improvement. The speaker and earpiece sounded great and were loud straight out of the box, I didn't have to hard reset or install the audio fix. I found audio quality and sound levels to be better than my 1st and 2nd moguls, so again it's an improvement for me. Maybe I'm just not anal, but I haven't noticed these extreme sensitivity issues near the frame of the screen either. Perhaps some are just having trouble figuring out the end of the screen because the screen is flush with the phone frame, unlike our old phones that had walls to keep us in line. I've yet to come across any problems when using it normally. I bet if I sat there picking at it and analyzed it through a microscope then eventually I'll come across something, but I care more about realistic usage. Again, if I use it as I do and don't notice anything fishy, why should I complain or degrade the phone?
I'm sure there are genuinely faulty phones, as my first mogul wouldn't turn on after the initial charge, but a lot of complaints seem to be more about OCD than realistic ones. I know some of the examples that I mentioned above aren't related to the battery, but I'm just proving a point that some of these complaints about battery life are made by people who actually produce the faults on their own by testing their phones in unrealistic situations or exaggerate based on their other frustrations.

I liked this thread because it pointed out that the battery life really isn't as bad as some people make it out to be, it's just that the charging capabilities might be off. I haven't had to deal with this yet because I only make calls for one or two continuous hours at most at any given time. As for the issues outside of the charger scenario... I'm not calling anyone a liar, but I wish some people would just keep their expectations realistic. Then we may see just how many are actually faulty. The few complaints that I do have are faults that are preexisting in the other HTC phones, so I'm not surprised and I'm definitely not going to return it because of them. ::This phone has way too many pros than cons:: Like many have said, it's a small computer, so we're going to suffer in battery life. Our laptops can't survive more than a few hours without external power, so being able to run a day sounds GREAT to me. I'm truly sorry for anyone that has real problems because I've been there and it sucks.
If I'm in the minority as far as problems, then I'm going to go buy a lottery ticket because I must be lucky. On that note and because I really didn't intend to write so much, I'm done and I'll leave it up to the technical users to keep up the discussion. Keep up the great work guys. Out.
