They refunded you because you, frankly, screwed them over by filing a claim.
I filed the claim only after they didnt follow up with me, as they stated they would, provided false contact information via ebay (I tried to obtain it, so I could call them, and discuss it in a more personal way, versus emailing), and the emails I tried to send, to their contact email address bounced.

In the claim I even said I'd be willing to immediately close it (which is indeed an option if you come to a resolution).

And I'm not outright saying they were ripping people off (I said it was a little hoaky, and I do understand that things happen). Either way, it's all taken care of now, and the phones on the way back to them.
