I think if its the same HEX, it will work.. I think the HEX just lets Alltel know what the model of the phone is...

One reason for the mass amounts of Sprint Diamonds is that Sprint has had their version of the phone out a lot longer... And a lot of early users of those Sprint Diamonds probably upgraded to the Touch Pro... As to the price differences, its basic supply and demand.. A lot of Sprint-branded Diamonds on the market will lower the collective selling price...
