Re: 4G CDMA is dead...

biggest negative for GSM that i could think if is the lack of privacy. carriers could even TURN ON ur phone just using the cell towers. thats just for gsm cause since umts/hsdpa/wcdma old cdma patents have been use to "fix" a few holes.
thats just my 2 cents cause i work with cell phones and i use both technologies with same carriers.
another negative is gsm is a lot more expensive, not the phones, i mean cell towers, network and stuff like that. just to do a coverage in 1 area, gsm needs 3 cell towers where cdma only uses 1.
about the network, cdma only needs a few T1 for one full cell but gsm needs like 10 or 12. thats what i meant for expensive.
i know some of these negatives dont affect the end-user/customer but its just good to know them.

btw 4g cdma might not be dead, US has the biggest cdma carriers but who knows if others could be interested. i will always preffer CDMA over GSM, sim cards can be broken easily sometimes and that is still a lack of material quality.
