by absolute chance, i stumbled upon this:

which explains my problems, and enough detial for me to benefit. followed the step-by-step, and am now running on wm6 for the xv6900 with (as far as i can tell) EVERYTHING WORKING!

i am about to take it a step farther, ( basicly what i was able to do was start from mile one), and flash to the leaked 6.1, THEN im going to build my own (hopefuly)"working" rom, and flash that.

but im still wondering if its a good idea (if at all possible) to build my new rom off of the leaked one.

any ideas?

you should be fine....I would run the leaked VZW 6.1 rom, and let customizations run, then unlock, then flash the custom of your choice.

and if you decide to flash another official rom instead of the VZW, make sure you skip the carrier customization, lol
