My problem is that my wireless carrier is EMBARQ. They purchase the phones from Sprint but have their phones customized to their specs. I can't use the Sprint ROM because it does not contain the correct PRL. EMBARQ also buys tower time from Alltel and roaming is free to EMBARQ customers. So if you are on Sprints CDMA or Alltel CDMA its all the same to EMBARQ. So I would like to backup my current ROM before trying one of the many other ROMs that seem to function allot better that the stock ROMs. The backup would only serve the purpose of flashing back incase of warranty return or service.
