Unless you live in the same relative area as the person who posted the PRL for you to manually update, i don't see it doing much good.

If you all are neighbors, then by all means, go for it!

PRL though refers to "Preferred Roaming List" It is usually only needed to be updated in the event you move to another city, state, etc although that also requires Sprint to do a CSA change (used to be a pain) to get the right state tax and etc etc working.

In Summary, you might need to update your PRL when you buy the phone at activation and probably once more in the two years or so you'll be rocking it.

Edit: If you want a PRL update pushed to you, call *2, ask for a PRL update. Hang up
Dial *2 again to get the update (if there is one, which is rarely) pushed to your phone.
