Explain to me what you mean by "it writes on top of this".

When you flash a ROM you a removing the previous ROM and the new one is put on. Nothing is left of the old one to write over.

Now the radio is a different matter. Except for the carrier ROMs (full release not the dumped ones generally), most ROMs do not have a radio in them. SO this will not be written over.

Since you updated your radio you will probably need to call Verizon for a new A key also.
