And yes, this thread was about the ban, and I was merely presenting alternatives to obtaining a "banned" phone.
Also, for the post above, XDA Flame is available and is not a "mini laptop", nor is the upcoming Imate 7150. I will grant that the Advantage/Athena is more like a laptop or UMPC.
My main point is that, while the 6800 is an improvement over the 6700, there are far more functional phones out there IF you're willing to purchase outside the US and move to a GSM carrier.
I did a comparison on PDADB.net, pitting the 6800 against some other phones that are eithe currently available or will be this month or next. All of those phones CRUSH the 6800 in terms of features:
