On that note, it IS smart shopping. I got my BNIB original Touch for $200 on Craigslist. I called to verify the ESN, and I couldn't be happier. Paying full-price at a Sprint store, or being locked into a 2-year agreement seems like NOT-smart shopping, to me.

I have to agree with this post and thank this person for being the voice of reason. My thought on this whole debacle is that if you have an opinion of this whole buyer beware thing on this thread, keep it to yourself and try to help the OP instead of telling him or her how dumb they are.
