Re: Sprint Is Full Of Crap!

Well, there are actually several reasons to buy a phone off of eBay. We have a 4-line family plan. My teenager goes through phones like she does socks. So we needed one without being eligible for a discount - we went on eBay.

Another time, I saw a phone I wanted to try out. Didn't want to extend our contract for it, ordered it on eBay.

It's ALWAYS risky to buy a phone off eBay. What helps is to have a trusted seller, checking feedback, ESN and guarantees. But even that might not have protected the OP from this scam.

That's why I ONLY buy phones as a gamble, dirt cheap and keeping any losses at a minimum. So far, that worked out great. Only got one bad phone yet and got my money back for it. Lucky!

My GOOD phone (HTC TP) of course, I bought through Sprint, with a proper paper trail and insurance to boot. This was NOT an amount of $ I cared to gamble with and I have 30 days to change my mind - legit.
