My dad just upgraded to the curve and I had the task of implementing custom ringtones to his contacts (as he is clueless) in cell phones. There are, 12, yes count them, 12 steps to add a custom ringtone to a contact and scrolling with that stupid track ball made it worse. Yeah, you can have all icons placed on the home screen for ease of use but so help you god if you click on the wrong icon. I found the BB to NOT be intuitive at all in any way. You have to take many, many steps to edit anything to your liking. I found the audio quality to be about the same as the TP. My point is, is that both phones have a learning curve but an average joe can use a TP without a degree in rocket science. PLus, the TP can be customized in just about every aspect of the phone from web browsers to different colors of the dial pad and everything inbetween. Because of the BB curve my dad and his wife are switching from AT&T to sprint just to get the TP for ease of use and its luster. I also got to play with the G1 just to see what the hype is all about. While it's OS seems ok, the phone lacks. Period. The phone is fugly and looks like a brick, the screen looks predated circa 1999 just bigger, and its overall aesthetics looks as if it were made by fisher price. Just my two cents!

The Only good quality about the G1 is that it was designed for the software programmer, so to speak. It has the capabilities for someone to create programs that will work on the phone. I myself am not that impressed in the functions. So far the TP is better.
