I believe this is referring to the fact that the slide out keyboard has actual keys that depress when they are pushed (True Tactile Response). This is opposed to a touchscreen keyboard that does not move when touched. With the exception of the upcoming BlackBerry Storm (in which the whole screen depresses), some touchscreen keyboards implement a simulated tactile feedback using a vibration response.
