Perhaps Microsoft is trying to 'synchronize the 7s' so they release at about the same time.. Windows 7 and Mobile 7 that is.

They are synchonizing the releases of these products. Carphone warhouse has already come out and said that when you buy a windows 7 copy you will receive a winmo 7 smartphone with it. This is in the UK of course.
