To make it so the menu font is not huge change these reg files:

HKLM\System\GDI\SYSFNT\Ht (Change from 1000 to 900)(Dont go below)
HKLM\System\GWE\Menu\Barfnt\Ht (Change from 1000 to 800)(Dont go below 800)
HKLM\System\GWE\Menu\Popfnt\Ht (Change from 1000 to 800 or 700)
HKLM\System\GWE Delete the string "WidgSz"=dword:1"

Also If you are having font not show up when you are typing in landscape mode try disabling ClearType in Landscape mode.
