OK. I checked the EPST and compared it back to my 6700. These were the differences:
- SCM was 42 on the 6700 and 58 on the Diamond
- The Software and PRI version numbers were different (phone specific versions I assume?)
- The Preferred Serving System was different on the Modem Settings. On the 6700 it had "Standard" and on the Diamond this option was not available. The Diamond had "Sprint Only" instead of "Standard".
- In HDR AN AUTH Password, I have the MEID instead of the hex ESN. Before I used the DCD Alltel cab, I had tried it with both the hex ESN (the 6 digit number beginning with an and the hex MEID (A10000*****) .
- In Data Parameters Rev. A is enabled. This option is not on the 6700.
- In the M.IP Default Profile, there was a string in the HA Shared Secret. I tried the Diamond both with and without the string from the 6700. It is currently blank.
Otherwise, both phones have the same EPST settings. I did try the suggestion from the internet problems thread of changing the Active User Profile Index from 0 to 1 but that didn't work either.
After I used the DCD Alltel Carrier cab, the phone rebooted and could not make phone calls (We're sorry but we cannot process your call....). When I went in the EPST, the SCM had changed from 42 to 58 and the MEID fields were gone. I reflashed it with conflipper's Alltel ROM and the MEID fields returned, but the SMC stayed at 58.
Thanks to all for any advice or assistance.
