Compare that to Sprint's plan: Damaged phones are similarly repaired with no deductible. The only time you have to pay the $50 is if you need your phone replaced because it was lost or stolen -- and that isn't even handled through Sprint. It's an insurance program proved by Asurion. I have done this twice on my Apache (6700) with no problems. You call them, put $50 on a credit/debit card, and have a new phone in a few days; no questions asked. You just call customer service from the new phone, Sprint activates it for free, and you're good to go.

Not correct. Physical and water damage are NOT covered. If you get it wet, $50. If you break the screen, $50. It wasn't always this way though. Until 9/1/08 screens physical damage was covered, not water though.
