ROM wise I like Dette's ROM's by personal choice,though right now I'm using NFSFAN's golden ROM...I picked up a battery myself from here 4 days ago :

Now here is where I go into my speach normally but I'll save you the hastle and make it easy try many ROMs and figure one you like for your taste and stlye that being said Dette's ROM is a good place to start...
