Ok earlier today after I had tethered my phone, it started doing this weird thing ive never seen it do before. Basically what was happening was the phone was jumping from tower to tower continuously and I couldnt get it to stop. Like... the icon would jump from the triangle like icon with 3 bars to the data connection icon with 3 bars every few seconds. Everytime it switched it would pop up a notification that said that my password or username was incorrecr.. I couldnt make any calls or connect to the internet or anything because it just kept switching like every 3 seconds over and over and over.

So I called alltel and they looked in the system and told me that for some reason my phone kept jumping from tower to tower... and that I should call *228 to reprogram the phone. Did that 3 times and it didnt work... soft reset a few times and that didnt work and I just got pissed and said to hell with it and left it alone for a while. So.. I go to the other side of town to visit a friend and just so happened to look down at my phone and noticed that the weatherbug on my home screen had connected...and that it wasnt doing the weird thing anymore... so I guess it fixed itself.

My question is does anyone know what caused this? Just wondering so ill know what to do if it ever happens again because alltel tech support was clueless.
