Yeah, I've been playing around and seeing it isn't as easy as it looks. I know for fact registry has nothing to do with the color changes, but there has to be some kind of editor or .png file or something to make that icon change color.

edit:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=414861 looks like a Manilla editor is out
