I tried re-installing total commander still did it. I then tried to do a reg clean with some trial software that looks for errors. It found a few and so I 'fixed' them. Then MS voice command didn't work but the original error was still there So I restored the 'fixed reg' and voice command needed to be re-installed. I looked in the startup folder under windows and deleted everything there. was some weird named files and some with .temp exxtensions. The error stopped! Voice command needed to be re-installed again and now has a file in startup. All seems to be OK at the moment... Thanks

PS If I was to install a new rom, which one? there are so many out there and all seem to have thier own problems... Maybe I should ask this as a new topic... I think I will!! Thanks again...
