Really? I did not have success with that. My ROMs crashed on boot when I tried to write things to nonexistent directory. I'm kind of tired of re-creating ROMs just for kicks (I've got a nice one now) so I'll just take your word for it but my apologies to anyone who got bad advice from me about that.
