I do not think this is possible. To get on the Referral Plan you have to be opening a new line (you are good there) but I believe you have to by the phone online when you sign up. I do not think you could sign up for the plan and get a new number without getting a phone, and then buy the phone at Best Buy.
I was thinking about getting this plan (and SERO before it) but I have been a Sprint customer for a long time and they do not let you convert an existing Sprint number to SERO (not online anyway).
I would just go for the Referral plan if I were you. You will not get the 20% Best Buy discount but you will not pay the Activation Fee ($36?) when you buy online. This makes up or some of the 20% you will not get. You will save in the long run with the plan discount. You will just have to wait until the Touch Pro shows up on the SERO site if that is what you want.
