Re: * UPDATED * JUICY ROM 2.6 [Full CE OS 5.2.20755][TELUS][Sprint]

So, being completely new to smartphones, let alone flashing and customizing them, from what i can tell Juicy Rom 2.6 has several bugs and some are only on sprint versions. (This by no means a criticism, Juicy is definitely doing us all a favor by cooking roms and releasing them and i thank him). This will be my first time flashing (roms) ever, so just want to make sure i am getting everything straight.

Also, i hope that this post may serve to consolidate what everyone is saying over the 2 dozen + pages since the 2.6 release.

All errors that i have found to be reported so far:

~Unable to Hard Reset - There are several opinions regarding this. Some found to only be able to hard reset by this method: ( http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...40058&page=111 post #1103 ). Others such as TobeyChris have found the standard hard reset method to still work, while at least one person claims to be completely unable to hard reset.

~SSMaPa, iContact and ThumbCal do not work with the 2.6 - *Sprint + Telus*

~Theme colours are not black, but teal- *Sprint* From what i can tell this is only on sprint version and is easily fixed by copying a .txt file into the windows folder (See page 84 for the instructions and the .zip file which contains the black theme bars)

~Sprint applications were removed- This is not a bug, this was intentional as most consider it bloatware. For those of you wanting them back, cab files / fixes / workarounds can be found on pages 109-110

~For at least one person the keyboard doesn't work on "grayed out dialogue boxes" - i am not sure exactly what he is referring to, but some of you might

~Some customization doesn't work (this may just be the SSMaPa, but i didn't find details on what exactly they were referring to)

~Although unsure of the exact reason, the XIP version or SYS change are likely the cause, has caused the diamond to occasionally crash when switching from landscape to portrait while in certain tasks / programs - Will be fixed in due time

~Phone goes to Sleep (screen goes black) during a call- Again, this is not a bug. The phone is designed to do this, likely to conserve battery. However, if you would like to prevent it from happening a workaround can be found in the previous link in post #1105

~Photos Being stored in a new folder within the Internal Storage- Not necessarily a bug, just different.

*Let my know anything i got wrong here / missed and i will edit the post*
