Well, my own observations over several weeks and several uses is that once the battery heats up because I spend 10+ minutes on the phone or using data is that the battery starts to drain very quickly after that happens. If data and phone sessions stay short throughout the day, even if there are several connections, it doesn't heat up and the battery has a much longer life.
