#1) Mask the camera plastic area good with some masking tape. the yellow manilla colored kind.

#2)Do your sanding. start with a rough grit. I bought a variety pack at Target. Go with the lines of the phone with the rough grit. then go to a medium grit, then a really fine grit. Take your time ! Dont rush it. If you want to see groove marks when your done painting then go ahead and rush it.
Sand evenly. Moving around to different parts of the phone. Dont go too deep into the plastic. Just get the top layer of paint off. If you dont, you will have shiny spots on the new paint job.

#3)The paint I speak of does not come in silverish. you can experiment on a small section of the phone though with a matte finish of another type of paint though.
You can always sand away any are you test on. "The bottom area towards the USB connection, but on the back should provide a nice area.
Dont use gloss though. Most gloss can paints on the market are acrylic based and will wind up sticky to the touch. matte finish is best.

The PJ1 engine black actually coats your cover with a powder like coat then seals it.
Afterwards when its dry, really dry, take a clean dustless towel or some old jeans and rub all the excess powder like substance off it. As the days go by the smell will not be so strong and the finish will smooth out as you take it in and out of the holster or your pocket. The battery heat actually cures it a bit.LoL

Use a razor blade to cut away the mask you put over the camera plastic. I'm working on some designs as soon as I can get ahold of some spare covers.
