It does work but the GPS doesn't work?

Uh... okay... I think that's exactly what I said. You might be able to get Mobile GMaps to execute/run on a PPC-6700, but it's simply not possible right now to get it to find a GPS signal using the built-in GPS.

If you want them to, call Microsoft and ask them to add an LBS API similar to JSR 179. Or, better, ask them to integrate J2ME into the platform so JSR 179 would be offered on the device.
