I noticed this too, It is skinner then in his previous 3.5, But that can be changed with some simple registry edits, Which I remember seeing in the Registry Tweaks section of this site... |
And yes, it's deliberate, more space for actual data. The top and bottom bars take up enough precious screen real estate as it is.
