Email i recieved this morning from ecare.....they seem to be the most knowledgeable department within all of sprint so i believe a sooft launch will happen on 10-19-08

I understand that you wish to exchange the HTC Diamond with the HTC
Touch Pro. The HTC Touch Pro is yet be launched. It is scheduled to be
launched by October 19, 2008. So it will not be possible for me to order
this phone at the current moment.

However, as the phone is within the 30 day replacement program, please
write back to me after October 19, 2008 and I will assist you further.

I also recommend that you visit your nearest Sprint Store with the
current HTC Diamond. Our in-store technician will be glad to assist you.
