I fired up gps view, just to see if the gps was active, and it found it on com4, and it was parsing like it should, i haven't gone any further, i'm gonna slap latest googlemaps on there now.

just tried it, no lock, did qpstthing it was missing the ip of course, and port, set those, unchecked, rechecked, reset, ran reg, reset, opened up gps view, doing the same thing

first second, shows two or 3 sats, next shows none, next shows 13 sats or so, next none, then, then it starts over, none of them getting above the 30's on levels, just like the pic I posted on the bottom of the previous page
the alltel nav is just their navigation software that they charge 10$ a month for. u dont wanna use that. it might be that program ur using, just use google maps to test ur gps. make sure ur wifi card is off. make sure ur outside. make sure that u clicked 'write to phone' after u enter the settings in qpst. then reset the phone. 6.1 comes gps enabled so all that u need to do is the qpst agps fix. heres how to test if u agps is working:

open google maps, let it load the map data. then disable ur data connection in the comm manager. go back to google maps. click 'use gps' and see if your phone attempts a data connection. it should do it immediately after clicking 'use gps' in google maps. thats because it needs a data connection to get the agps data. if all goes well with that test, then ur problem is satellite visibility. nothing can fix that really. but if ur agps isnt working that can be addressed.
