I switched to verizon (which I DON'T get for free) & the service is great, but now I have to live with their crappy selection of phones.
I am not unhappy with my highly tweaked XV6800, but if I could get a touch pro I would have it tomorrow......

i guess verizons answer to you is to utilize the new "open development." if you dont want the phone theyre offering you then just buy one that has what you want (i.e. sprint touch pro) and you can use it with them then.
and its much easier said than done. you gotta deal with: full price of touch pro...activation fees...time it takes to actually activate it (basically flashing the phone, but they say it can take up to 3 weeks!).
