Can't say for sure - I'm an upgrade fanatic so unless I find something that doesn't help me, I always go with the latest however I'm pretty sure you are asking about your date etc. This will wipe out your phone and you'll be starting from scratch, then you'll have to apply the 3.5 update afterwards.
