Are you trying to use remote desktop from your Diamond, via your wireless router on your LAN, to connect to your desktop PC via the public IP address of your Internet connection? Because that will most likely fail as most routers look at that as a waste of prcessor and will deny the traffic. I know that Cisco and Linksys will fail this way, and I am pretty sure D-Link is the same.

You are trying to use remote desktop from your Diamond, via your wireless router on your LAN, to connect to your desktop PC via the private IP address of your desktop PC, right?

Because you need to get that working first.. then you can worry about getting into your desktop PC from outside your LAN, via the Internet.
