Motorola Bluetooth H12

I just purchased a Motorola H12 Bluetooth earpiece. This is Supposed to be one of the top of the line Noise canceling earpieces. I have the HTC vogue with that 1.6 custom manila rom in it. Everything on the phone works great. Except when i connect to the bluetooth, NO ONE can hear me. It sounds like your talking in a drum. Now I got a friend of mine that is using a vogue with the factory HTC GPS rom in it. He has that H700 Earpiece he bought used, and it sounds just like hes talking on the phone. No issues.

Does anyone know how to make any adjustments to make these things sound good? I really want this bluetooth earpiece.

Thanks in advance.
