Good bye 6700 forums :(

Well I ordered a replacment on Thurday night because one my 6700 had a small issue with the KB, which I fixed. I called and told them my phone had the issue and they sent me another replacment. I got it today and 6 buttons on the right side of keyboard don't type, they light up but don't type. So I called trying to get a 6800 and the old lady said nope, I guess last time I tried to get one a manger marked up a note saying not to give me anything else because I didn't purchase the phone directly from them. So I've been trying to get someone not to read those and just get to point. Well I called a lot of times after this and finally got this younger lady to do it. She kept saying she was sorry for all these "broken" phones I've been getting. I said "Oh it's okay". So she ordered me a brand new in the box XV6800. I did have to pay sales tax though since I live in Cali. Wasen't too bad though. So that being said I'm going back to being a noob with a new device in the 6800 forums. I'll stick around here though to try to give people what litttle knowledge I have on these phones. Tata!

UPDATE 10mins later: Oh my word. I am so mad! Forget it all! They just called back and said the manager declined it. I am soo! mad!

UPDATE 10/2/08: Well I called back and told them that if I can't get a working new 6800 that I will not renew my contract. The lady kept going off on, "Well we've been providing you with so many replacments". I told them "I appreciate tht but these replacments are in poor condition". So she put me on hold and talked to a decvice manager and they said that since they've been giving me so many refurbs they're going to give me a new 6800. They also said the only reason I was declined was because a past due balance. IDK but if I can get this I don't care.

Terms: I have to pay my past due balance. I do NOT have to renew contract. A supervisor has to approve it before leaving.

So I got everything notated on my account so I'll call back soon. I'm done though, if they deny this deal I'm going to... I don't know yet. But I'm done with all the playing. They said, "You relise how serious this is? We NEVER give out new 6800's to people with broken old phones". LOL.... So I will let yall know what happens when done. And the next step after this will be calling the number WAH P.M.ed me. Thanks WAH!

UPDATE 10/3/08: YES YES YES YES! I called today to get it and got a lady named Connie, she wouldn't look at the note and she said since my upgrade was avaliable (only have two weeks left on contract) that she wouldn't do it. I went back and forth and finally hung up. Called back got a young lady and just told her the note was there. She read it and ordered the phone. They didn't call back saying a manager declined and I just got and e-mail saying it will be overnighted to me. But since they don't work Saturday or Sunday it will be here Monday. I didn't even have to pay tax.

UPDATE: 10/6/08:

Got a box from FedEx. REFURB 6700. I called they said the lady who promised me the deal didn't write too good of notes and the manager who ordered a "new" phone did another refurb. So, they have talked to many people and they just won't do it. I'm not bothering anymore. Hopefully my friend will give me his 6800 that he got. Just further more shows how there are some bad people at Verizon...I'm not gonna fight it anymore. Anyhow good luck everyone.
